On 02 -03 -20 to 06 -03 -20 Kereru and Pukeko embarked on an intensive swimming programme at Massey park. We went to Massey park in Papakura by bus. We learnt various swimming skills such as free stlyle, backstroke, diving, jumping off the wall of the pool. It was enriching learning experience for us and the adults who supported us.
Inquiry Question: Why do students and adults swim? Justify your answers ?
Kia ora Kereru whānau, this is Cam. Thanks for sharing your swimming experience through your blog. I think it's great that you can all still learn to swim, even though you don't have a school pool. New Zealand is a country that is surrounded by water, and every year we lose far too many people to drowning, on average 80 people per year. If all of our young people can learn to swim and survive in the water, I think we may be able to lower this number.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora it's Jack from Karoro School,
ReplyDeleteThis looks fun. Are you doing races or are you just swimming?
You have a very big pool, is that because there are tons of people at the school? I like to swim to, although I prefer to play hockey. Would you rather swim or do another sport.
