Fabulous swimming week

On 02 -03 -20 to 06 -03 -20 Kereru and Pukeko embarked on an intensive swimming programme at Massey park. We went to Massey park in Papakura by bus. We learnt various swimming skills such as free stlyle, backstroke, diving, jumping off the wall of the pool. It was enriching learning experience for us and the adults who supported us.

Wero educational trip

On 19 - 02 -20 Kereru and  Pukeko hubs, year 7 and 8 had an adventurous and exciting Wero trip. It was really a  learning opportunity for both students and staff who fully engaged in learning different water  survival skills such as kayaking, white-water rafting, river crossing, swimming and water safety precautions. The trip was awesome and exciting. Staff and students learnt the skills in groups of ten and everyone had fun and felt challenged with the activities.

Why do you think it is important for schools to take students to experiences that challenge them and meet their interests?
